Studio notes Your first pole class: what to expectNervous about your first class? Here’s exactly what happens, what to wear, and why you’ve got nothing to worry about. Walking into your first pole class can feel daunting — but we promise it’s the friendliest room you’ll train in. Everyone in that class was a nervous beginner once, including your instructor. Wear shorts and a t-shirt or vest. Pole needs a little skin contact (behind the knees, hands) to grip, so save the leggings for flexibility class. Bring water and leave the lotion at home on class day. You’ll start with a warm-up, learn a few basic spins and poses, and finish with a stretch. There’s zero pressure to do anything that doesn’t feel right — go at your own pace and celebrate the small wins. By the end, most people are grinning and already asking when they can come back. See you on the pole! |
